Begin with the family account
Agree one manageable reminder and a predictable place for materials. Ask about device access before relying on an app. Ask what is already manageable and what would make an additional routine unrealistic. Offer an interpreter or another communication format where needed.
Make the school contribution clear
Build an end-of-day cue linking the task record, required materials and a check of the bag. Share a brief example so the family understands the approach, without expecting home to reproduce a lesson.
Review without blame
Track each stage separately; bringing completed work back is different from remembering to start it. Choose a named contact and a review date. Ask whether the arrangement reduced conflict or workload as well as improving learning; adjust it if the adult input is becoming unsustainable.
Sources and further reading
These sources inform the wider approach. The classroom example illustrates practice; it is not a research case study.
